2007 Little League Baseball World Series to Unveil New Team Uniforms
This year for the first time, the 16-team field of eight regional champions from the United States, and eight from International regions, will be dressed in uniforms with two distinctive styles and a myriad of vibrant colors.
Little League International has provided uniforms to each of the teams reaching the championship tournament since the second World Series in 1948. Beginning with the 1949 National Tournament, Keds was removed from the uniforms in favor of jerseys that bore the team’s state, country, or region name. Such designations have continued to be used since the National Tournament became known as the Little League World Series in 1950.
Because of wear and changes in uniforms styles, Little League International typically retires its World Series uniforms after three years.

As one of Little League’s 15 corporate sponsors, Russell Athletic provides team uniforms and other World Series apparel to all eight of Little League’s World Series tournaments. Little League International has had a relationship with Russell Athletic since 1983.
Little League Baseball and Softball is the world’s largest organized youth sports program, with nearly 2.7 million players and 1 million adult volunteers in every U.S. state and scores of other countries. For more information log on to Little League’s website is: www.littleleague.org.
